Adding to an impressive day for Team USA was Alison Brock with Claudine and Fritz Kundrun’s Rosevelt, who placed third with a score of 73.86 percent. Arlene Page and her own Woodstock placed ninth with an even 70 percent, and Shelly Francis and Danilo, owned by Patricia Stempel, followed in 10th place with a 69.58 percent. Completing the U.S. contingent in the CDI3* Grand Prix was Guenter Seidel, who finished 23rd on James and Charlotte Mashburn’s Zero Gravity.

Rotterdam is the third and final European observation event before the selection of the 2016 U.S. Olympic team. Steffen Peters, Arlene Page and Ali Brock will return Saturday for the Grand Prix Special, while Guenter Seidel and Shelly Francis will return to compete in the Freestyle. Also on Saturday, the U.S. combinations entered in the CDIO5* will return for the final day of Nations Cup competition. They currently sit in second behind the Netherlands.
