Rare Rolex and WEG VIP Packages Set for Auction at “Triumph in Tryon”

Gladstone, N.J. – Jan. 18, 2018 – On Friday, Jan. 19, the United States Equestrian Team (USET) Foundation will be hosting a benefit event at the International Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. The “Triumph in Tryon” gala, co-chaired by Jim and Haity McNerney, will help raise funds for the USET Foundation to further support the USET athletes as they prepare to compete at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) in Mill Spring, North Carolina, at the Tryon International Equestrian Center. This year’s event will feature fabulous live auction items and experiences that cannot be found or obtained anywhere else!

One exciting item set to be auctioned is an exclusive Rolex VIP sporting experience. Rolex Watch USA has generously donated three VIP sporting experiences that will appeal to a wide range of interests. The winning bidder will have the choice of which VIP experience they wish to attend. Each package includes hotel accommodations and round trip airfare to the chosen destination. The Rolex VIP sporting experiences offered are:

  • 2018 BNP Paribas Open (Indian Wells, California) – This package includes two tickets per day to the Rolex Suite in Stadium 1 for the day sessions on March 17–18. Guests will have the incredible opportunity to watch the world’s best tennis athletes compete at the largest ATP and WTA professional tennis tournament in the world.
  • 2018 F1 US Grand Prix (Austin, Texas) – Two tickets to the illustrious Paddock Club™ at the F1 US Grand Prix will be provided over the course of two days, the qualifier on Oct. 20 and the Grand Prix on Oct. 21. Guests will enjoy fine dining and beverages as well as privileged viewing positions, pit lane walks, wine and champagne bars, gourmet luncheons with fine wine, mid-morning tea and pastries and live entertainment including driver interviews.
  • 2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona (Daytona Beach, Florida) – This experience offers two tickets per day to the Rolex Lounge at the Rolex 24 at Daytona on Jan. 26–27, 2019. Witness the best in motorsports compete in this twice-around-the-clock marathon at North America’s most prestigious sports car race and celebrate the start of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season!

In addition, three WEG VIP hospitality packages will be available to bid on during the “Triumph in Tryon” live auction on Friday, donated by the 2018 FEI WEG organization, Mark and Katherine Bellissimo and the USET Foundation. Included in each package is one double-occupancy guest room at the Biltmore Estate, an invitation to the USET Foundation’s “team” reception, transportation to and from the competition venues as well as two tickets per package to the respective discipline’s competition days in the Summit Club. Guests will also have access to an all-inclusive, premium lunch buffet, full bar, coffee, continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, restrooms and a VIP parking pass. The WEG VIP hospitality packages offered are:

  • WEG VIP Hospitality Package – Dressage (Sept. 12–16)
  • WEG VIP Hospitality Package – Eventing (Sept. 13–16)
  • WEG VIP Hospitality Package – Show Jumping (Sept. 19–23)

During this celebratory evening, guests will enjoy cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. followed by the live auction and dancing. The event will also include the presentation of three of the USET Foundation’s most coveted awards: the prestigious Lionel Guerrand-Hermès Trophy, the Whitney Stone Cup and the R. Bruce Duchossois Distinguished Trustee Award.
